It happened to me this week, a story that I’d laboured over , believed in and thought was good ,was rejected with a polite ‘not for us.’
Rejections suck, it’s always hard to get a rejection and I am not pleased to have got this one.
But, rejection is fact of a writer’s life; most famous authors have had work rejected at some point in their careers.
The point is they didn’t give up—and neither will I and neither should you, not if you are serious about writing.
Maybe that editor did me a favour?
